At Home with Francesca Hayward
The esteemed principal ballerina has partnered with Westwing for the latest edition of its Homestory series, welcoming the brand into her London flat to share an insight into her personal approach to interiors and everyday living.

Working closely together, Westwing updated Francesca's flat using pieces from the Westwing Collection selected to reflect her interior style and complement the character of her home. From the sofa and bed, to lamps and decorative accents, each piece was chosen to create a space that feels warm, calm and effortlessly inviting.
For Francesca, home is more than simply a place to rest after long days in the studio - it is a sanctuary that allows her to completely switch off from the intensity of life on stage. Filled with natural light, calming textures, and thoughtfully chosen pieces, her London flat reflects a sense of warmth, stillness and ease that contrasts beautifully with the demands of her day-to-day at the ballet.
While Hayward sees home as a space to switch off from the intensity of ballet, subtle reminders of her life on stage are still woven throughout the flat. Flowers gifted after performances are constantly scattered around the apartment, bringing colour and freshness into the space.
The standout piece anchoring the entire living room is the Modular Teddy Bouclé Sofa Wolke in Wine Red. As the centrepiece of the space, it set the tone for the overall aesthetic, with every other element carefully chosen to complement the room’s rich colour palette and cosy atmosphere. Inspired by mid-century design, the space is layered with best-selling lighting pieces such as the Walter Lamp and earthy-toned scatter cushions, creating a sense of warmth and comfort. Together, these details transformed the room into a sanctuary Francesca fondly describes as her “safe space.”
"The standout piece for me is the sofa. It feels perfectly suited to the room, both effortless and timeless. I especially love the colour, it feels slightly unexpected, yet looks so classic. I’m so happy with how the whole living space has come together." Francesca Hayward
Turning to the dining area, Francesca pairs Westwing’s much-loved Sissi Wooden Dining Chairs with the chrome-accented Jordan Leather Dining Chairs, creating a layered mix of warmth and contrast. Echoing the home’s considered design language, the open-plan layout gives the space a relaxed yet thoughtfully curated edge.
"I think I'm still discovering my own interior style. But what I am learning is that when you're in a relationship, you do have to compromise. That's why I feel so happy with everything in my flat. They are all things that we both like and adore. So that works really well." Francesca Hayward
While the living room has more of a layered, lived-in feel, Francesca wanted the bedroom to feel cocooning and serene - “like a little nest,” as she describes it - creating a more minimalist space entirely dedicated to recharging. Centred around the Upholstered Corduroy Bed, the bedroom embraces the home’s earthy tones with a calmer, more pared-back approach. The collection's hero marble lighting and home accessory pieces debut in each room, creating a cohesive interplay of sculptural form, natural texture, and understated luxury throughout .
"Home is where I come back to myself, but even here I am still a dancer, ballet is at my core, and the small moments of my life definitely reflect that. Ballet is woven into everything. And I think that's what I love the most: that these two worlds are both just places where I feel completely alive." Francesca Hayward
